SCD and always cold

My son told me that since he started the diet he is always cold. Did anyone else ever experience this?

Maybe he is lacking iron?

Sometimes being cold is associated with weight loss. So, if the person has lost weight or is underweight that may contribute to being cold. \n\nThere may be other reasons to feel cold while eating or just after eating. When the body is working on digestion, blood flow is redirected from muscles and to the digestive system, so the extremities may feel cold.

Thank you both for replying. He is actually taking iron pills so I don't think he is low on iron, but he did loss some weight so maybe it is from that. thank you again for the help.

You may be not meeting your caloric intake. I have an Eating Disorder and am very cold when i restrict my diet.

I am very underweight and I am always cold too.
