Here is some information and feedback from the BTVC yahoo group:, "
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/BTV ... ges/185928" It would depend on the composition of the oil. I know of some SCDers who find CBD oil helpful".\n\nPersonally, I don't have any experience with cannabis oil, nor do I know of anyone else's experience with respect to bowel disease.\n\nIt is legal in Canada, but that is still fairly new. There may be medical research carried out eventually. If people are interested they should speak to a medical practitioner.

I tried high potency organic full spectrum hemp CBD oil in MCT oil for dogs. I chose it because it had no other flavor additives, which are in most organic human formulations, so I figured it would be SCD legal. It helped my little dog who suffers from autoimmune encephalitis to be less nervous and more physically confident, she has been taking it daily for 7 months now. I stopped taking it after 3 months because I did not find it to be helpful with any of my ulcerative colitis symptoms, it just seemed to make me feel sleepy. It can be purchased on-line if you are in the USA, and if you are in Canada there is a similar human formulation available on-line. These products are legal but it is my understanding that it cannot yet legally cross the border between USA and Canada. If you decide to give it a try, make sure to use only organically grown hemp products, as the hemp plant apparently absorbs toxins from the soil in which it is grown.
