My doctor told me that Thank God I’m in remission. I have about 1 to 2 bowel movements daily and have been on SCD for about 2 years and medication. My stools still don’t look normal though. Anyone can recommend anything to harden stool. My doctor (which I’m very happy with) told me to increase fiber but I’m skeptical about fiber supplements. I haven’t had the yogurt for sometime now ... hard to make with busy schedule. Anything else that might help?

Everyone is different but for me, eating fresh or frozen cooked peas and properly soaked (according to the SCD) and cooked white beans makes a big difference. Also, go light on fruit for awhile.

I make sure and get plenty of cooked greens, I need to get them every other day. This is fiber but not sure will make the stool firmer. I love fresh fruit too but I can only take it in very small doses and tend to never it eat but a few times a week at this point.

Increasing soluble fibre can help firm up stool. There are plenty of sources o soluble fibre on SCD. You can do an internet search for "soluble fibre fruits vegetables" to give lots of lists with soluble fibre levels. Compare that list with SCD legal fruits and vegetables and that should help you determine what may help firm up the stools. You also don't want to add too much insoluble fibre as that can keep the stools loose.\n\nplease see : https://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorde ... Fibre.aspx (just the nut, fruit and veg sections)\nhttps://www.prebiotin.com/prebiotin-academy/fib ... -of-foods/ (just the nut, fruit and veg sections)

I use [this](https://amzn.to/3gjonGx) I think it's very effective. I started with 3*3 daily, then when stool is formed went down to 2 capsules 3 times a day.
