I am on day 2 of the SCD Intro diet after a recent diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis. Diarrhea once or twice a day has continued thus far on the Intro diet. Any advice or have others encountered a similar situation? I've tried two days of chicken/carrot puree, grape fruit gelatin and meat balls. Also just reintroducing land meat into my diet after 10 years pescetarian (fish+veg).

You may want to take it easy on the meat, and wait just a bit until your stomach is more settled - especially since your system is not used to digesting meat. You can also look into adding to your diet small amounts of fermented juices (find more details on Pickle-It) - to clear your gut of bad bacteria. Happy Healing!

Stick to the diet hardcore! Be picky. Eventually, maybe even over a full year you might start getting relief. I didn't start feeling better until I was on the diet 4 month, other it takes longer. Either way, follow the diet as if it's life or death and you'll see the reward. Just remember, every detail of this diet matters in my opinion. The longer you're on the diet the easier it is. Also, bone broth for the win! Meat is okay yes, but take it easy. Grass fed beef only. The most organic everything blah blah blah.

completely agree that the longer you're on the diet the easier it is and that's why you've got to stick to the diet hardcore, especially in the beginning (to be honest, for me was so hard that i started to get [steroids online](https://suppsforlife.to/). never used them though. later it is as if your body and mind got used to it and it is much easier.

I hope it is okay to post this; if not, remove. You might enjoy listening to The SCD Specific Carbohydrate Diet Podcast. Episode one talks about the diet, and there is a lot of good advice from experts there. I am the host.
