I have a block of sharp cheddar cheese that has vegetarian rennet listed as one of the ingredients. Does anyone know what this is, and whether it is SCD legal? \n\nThank You! \n~Kyrie

Vegetarian rennet is legal. It is an enzyme that can sometimes be vegetarian/vegan-type sourced. From vegetable (eg fig etc.) microbial or genetically engineered.
