Wine on the scd diet
Is marsala cooking wine legal on scd?..and what about a semi dry wine instead?

Only very dry wine is legal. I am assuming that the marsala cooking wine is not a dry wine. The safest is to go with a truly dry wine.

Do you have any suggestions of a dry wine that is easy to drink for the seder?

Kedem has a line of very dry wines called "Kedem Estates". Be very careful though, because drinking 4 glasses of wine may not be tricky for someone with IBD. Some suggestions are to use a rather small glass, and/or mixing it with kedem organic grape juice. Chag Sameach!

I was told that Kedem Matuk Rouge Soft is legal. My son drank 4 cups of it by the seder and felt fine. We've been using this wine for him for kiddush each week. Is this problematic??

If it is dry wine it's fine. When I've mentioned "kedem estates", I did not mean to say it's the only one that's good. I just gave a popular choice.

It's semi-sweet, but it's all natural with no added sugar. I figured it's the same idea as the Kedem Grape Juice that's all natural with no added sugar.

The wine much be very dry, so the semi dry wine would not be an option. I am assuming that marsala wine is not dry either - is it?

i miss so so much to have a glass of wine on evenings. but unfortunately my doctor put me on some drugs for sale and if i would drink a glass of wine now i would lose the money i spent for them. plus to that, my diet also restricts me wine.
