Ume Plum Vinegar in recipes

I would like to use Ume Plum Vinegar in my Asian cooking, the ingredients seem clean is it SCD legal?

On Raman Prasad's SCD Recipes website, he posted an adapted recipe (broccoli stir fry) in January 2015 where he mentions hat he omitted the ume plum vinegar because it is not SCD legal. He does not list any explanation why. I agree that the ingredients look innocuous enough?

This is such a cool product - not so much a vinegar, but rather a "pickled plum juice", with a saltyandsweet plum taste. I personally enjoy it in my salads - it makes a great salad dressing along with olive oil (I omit salt, since this has plenty of salt). There are so many other ways to enjoy this awesome product. It definitely makes my food more interesting!
