SCD and Vinegar, the allowed and the not allowed
I tried filtering it through a fine stainless sieve. That didn't work. I then tried filtering through a coffee filter, and that didn't work either. The ACV was still cloudy, and the Mother seemed to grow even more after a couple of days (or it banded together again). I found that the brand Whitehouse has an ACV that is clear with no Mother in it. Good luck! If in doubt, use fresh lemons instead! Wine vinegar is yummy, And it makes great ketchup, too!

Hello,\n\nNew to the forum and would to thank everyone for sharing this information to the rest of us. I have a question in regards to ACV, I am little bit confused as to the meaning of filtered and pasteurized. Filtered does mean without mother, I am correct?. Pasteurized means with out mother, Right?. Can someone shared a brand and type that is SCD legal. Thank you in advance.\n\nSincerely, \nDiego

You have to look for one that does not list "with the mother" on the label.

Thank you for replying to my question. It has been a challenge to find a brand that specifically notes on\nthe label without the mother. So, If "with the mother" is not any where on the label I can assume is SCD legal? \n\nThank you\nDiego
SCD and Vinegar, the allowed and the not allowed
Yes, typically if it does not specifically mark it as "with the mother", then it would be assumed that it's without. However, there is a way to double check - the ones that contain the mother will have sediments settled on the bottom of the jar, whereas the other ones will be totally clear to the eye.
