I was just wondering if there has to be a 24 hour fermentation process are you able to use this machine because it turns to keep warm after only 7 or 8 hours?\nor is there a way to keep the machine working for longer

The machine is absolutely a dream for SCD yogurt making! The temperature remains at the ideal SCD temperature throughout the entire process. Regarding the timing - YES - you can set the machine to stay on for the full 24 hours, undisturbed. What more - the initial heating up process goes with an automatic timer, and will shut off automatically (and ring) when done. Same goes with the 24 hour fermentation process - once done it'll shut off and ring. One last amazing benefit is the sizing - you can make a lot at a time
