Scd diet for ibs proctitis and sibo

\nI have tried the \npaleo and low fodmap diet recommended by my nutritionist and doctor. i"m on it for 2 months ,my symptoms did not improve at all. does anybody know if scd diet works for irritable bowel syndrome a very severe case along with sibo, and c -difficle and shaggela recurrent infections . i am also diagnosed with proctitis. a rectal form of colitis. my doctor and nutritionist claim there are people who try every diet and it does not make a difference to their currentt health issues, they are thinking if it paysto go for such strict tough diets?????Thanks for any answer .

Scd diet for ibs proctitis and sibo

Hi Glitz\nBefore I started the strict diet my Dr. put me on 6 wks of antibiotics. There are several choices of treatment which I suppose you have already done?? Herbal antibiotics, Rifaximan , and the elemental formula. Dr Siebecker is a wonderful online resource and is who My Naturopath uses for guidance. She is well known for her work with SIBO. That said I followed the SIBO diet of hers which is a combination of the Fod Map and SCD diet for the first year and now just follow the SCD diet. It was SLOW going and very difficult at first with a few relapses but I am glad to say today that I am soooo much better! Not an easy route, for sure but better then being constantly sick. Two other things that have helped me are acupuncture for my nervous system which tends to trigger my symptoms almost as bad as food. And just found a wonderful D.O. who does visceral manipulation which has helped so much that I am expanding new foods all the time. Good luck and don't lose heart!! Here is Dr. Siebecker's site just in case interested. https://www.siboinfo.com/antibiotics.html

Scd diet for ibs proctitis and sibo

My doctor thinks my ibs is the worst cooking illness and the sibo and colitis are only results of those . He says he never saw a patient with such aggressive symptoms that take over her entire life. I WAS WITH A TOP NUTRITIONIST ON A DAILY BASIS WATCH FOR 2 AND A HALF MONTHS WHATEVER DIET SHE TRIED MADE MATTERS MUCH WORSE.NOW I WENT OFF ALL DIETS. I AM TRYING EACH FOOD 1 BY 1 TO SEE IF IT AGREES WITH ME OR NOT.\nyes, i WAS ON RIFAXIMIN FOR 2 WEEKS ONLY. TRIED MASALAMINE DIDN'T WORK FOR ME. DOCTOR AND NUTRITIONIST PUT ME ON NATURAL STUFF LIKE PROBIOTIC, FLAX SEED OIL , GINGER AND ANISE TEA, SOMETIMES CHARCOAL AND GAS X. I ALSO CURRENTLY TAKE PRILOSEC DAILY, WE ARE STILL GOING THROUGH TESTING AS I AM STILL NOT OK. THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE AND INPUT,
