SCD and SIBO with Crohns

I have crohns... Started SCD about 4 years ago and never felt better...about a year ago it all started going downhill and I thought I was having a major flare...turns out I have SIBO and now I'm basically eating protein and some baby food... I'm doing th SCD/SIBO diet...Anyone else dealing with SIBO? Right now I hate it more than crohns...

I was just diagnosed with SIBO and i'm on day two of the SCD diet so basically eating meat, eggs and pureed carrots. I can't wait to hopefully add in some applesauce tomorrow. I don't really know what to expect along the way.

Check out the SCD/SIBO diet by Dr. Allison Siebecker( I know I'm spelling that wrong)..,,,SCD alone will not help , you have to limit the High FODMAP food as well to really kill the SIBO....it's a slow and arduous process and can be very overwhelming...I ended up going to a nutritionist to help on reintroducing food and I have barely made a dent and have had some setbacks... Good luck

I was diagnosed with SIBO in Aug of this year. With a Naturopath's support I did a 6 week round of herbal antibitoics and then started Alyson Siebecker's SIBO diet. I did have a bit of set back when I introduced the wrong foods too early and did a second round of antibionics for 2 wks. Now using Siebecker's food guide with my Dr help and am into week 5--proceeding well. Lots of my symptoms are gone but am still being very careful and vigilant about what I eat. This is a long SLOW process but I am gaining energy and optimistic. Siebecker has lots of good utubes out there about SIBO that have answered lots of questions.
