Not feeling full

I started the SCD diet not too long ago, and I'm slowly getting the hang of - finding substitutes for old favorites, finding recipes...
I don't feel like I'm getting satiated though. I often feel hungry, like I didn't eat enough. I guess I'm missing the carbs...
What can I do to feel fuller? I'm eating a lot of proteins so I'm not missing that.
Any advice?

Re: Not feeling full

Most people feel hungrier when they start SCD. Usually once they start to have some improvement in symptoms. It requires a lot of food energy to 'fuel' healing. The 'hungry feeling' is a combination of the change from eating carbs and not being sure what or how much to eat and needing to fuel healing. Children on SCD have the extra issue of still going through growth spurts.
Until you get a feel for what foods agree with you and help you to feel fuller eating small meals, more often can help.

It can take a while to stabilize, but the 'always hungry feeling' does generally go away. Try eating a variety of legal SCD foods and see which you like best. Yogurts, cheese, full fat yogurt...
