Lieber's had a kosher dill pickle that was legal, until they changed the ingredients "dill weed" to "natural dill flavor". I'm in contact with Lieber's and waiting to hear from them what's actually going on with this "dill" ingredient.
The rule with pickles is that if the ingredient list is clean (no "spice mix", "natural flavors", or "powdered spices"), then you can use it. Both canned and bottles are fine.
If there's something questionable on the ingredients, then you need to verify that with the company, and if they're open with what's in there - and it's good for the SCD - then you need to get that in writing from them with their company letterhead and signature.
