Hi does anyone know of a good bread/cracker recipe that doesn't use almond flour?I'm looking for something that i can enjoy with spreads such as egg salad/avocado, but without an overly nutty taste.
Hi, Bess. This won't work if you keep Kosher, but a lot of people use store-bought pork rinds with dips, spreads, etc. They are VERY crunchy and satisfy that need.
Here's an interesting recipe for flatbread - made with red lentils. I've actually tried it, and it's quite good, especially when toasted. For SCD you need to soak the lentils for around 8 hours. On the recipe, as per one of the comments, I've added 1 Tbls coconut oil to the batter (and used less oil to grease the pan - it doesn't need that much), and added 1 clove of garlic. I think next time I would also add some fresh parsley leaves. The actual bread is really light, yet filling - and really serves a very good purpose. If any of you do try it please leave us your feedback and if you tried any different spices.https://www.oatmealwithafork.com/5-ingredient-red-lentil-flatbread-gluten-free-nut-free/
