in the book it says only fresh loose dates
how about packaged dates with no added ing.
or organic dates from the health food store?

Medjool and California dates are allowed. They must be loose and not have anything added.
The packaged dates are not legal.
Organic dates from health food store must be either from California or the medjool variety.

Ajwa dates should be fine as long as they meet the description of dates in BTVC.

Are Kleins Natural Metjool dates legal?
The only ingredient besides dates is Sulfur Dioxide .

They confirmed to me that there is not unlisted ingredients,
However I just bought them and they are very very dry recently...
If you live in Boro Park, the place I found the best dates are at Circus Fruit Market at 5915 Fort Hamilton Pkwy.
