You can try Organic Valley Raw Mild Cheddar cheese sold in the USA or L’Ancette Emmenthal Swiss Cheese sold in Canada, they are both delicious, organic and free of anything but enzymes. I also find organic sauerkraut made with just cabbage and sea salt to be a tasty fermented food. These are the only fermented foods I eat. Like me, your husband may not be too fond of liquid foods.
I have stayed strict to the diet for 6 years now with success in reversing ulcerative colitis. A few months ago, I tried some yam to see if I could eat it. Nope, instant diarrhea. A month ago, I started eating less and less ripe bananas every now and then and seem to tolerate that particular starch, so yay!
